Radar Roy's RadarBusters.com van parked in front of NetShops to complete the deed. Another 'mom and pop' retailer is taken over by a massive conglomerate.

Radar Roy (Roy Reyer) recently sold his online business, RadarBusters.com, to NetShops for an undisclosed amount. NetShops also aquired Radar Roy's associated RadarBusters.com websites radarjammer.com and radardetector.net. NetShops has bought out a number of other online retailers, including Binoculars.com, Pans.com and Telescopes.com, among others. Radar Roy will still "remain in the industry as a consultant," but good luck getting him on the phone at RadarBusters.com to share his knowledge of radar detectors and laser jammers!

Along with 1stRadarDetectors.com owner John Turner, Radar Roy is one of the best in the world when it comes to knowledge of radar detectors, laser jammers, and related countermeasures. 1stRadarDetectors.com was pleased to participate with Radar Roy on many of the Speed Measurement Labs tests, testing radar detectors, laser jammers and other products every year in El Paso, Texas. We are not pleased to see another 'mom and pop' store swallowed by a large corporation like NetShops. Now that RadarBusters.com is owned by NetShops, we expect a call or email to the 'new' RadarBusters.com will put us in touch with an hourly employee (somewhere in the world), who has little or no knowledge of radar detectors, laser jammers or any other police radar or police laser countermeasures. In our opinion, the loss of Radar Roy from RadarBusters.com will change a once useful and competitive locally owned business into just another 'K-Mart' trying to sell whatever they can as quickly as possible to whomever will buy it.
